Timetable: what to expect on the day
The ceremony will begin in the Music Room at midday. Please arrive after 11.30am.
After the ceremony we will move into the Noverre Ballroom for a Dancing Lesson!
Afternoon Tea will be served at about 2pm in the Music Room.
Afterwards, there will be dancing in the Noverre Ballroom.
Board Games will be available in the Great Hall throughout the day for those who do not dance.
Dress Code:
Please wear something smart in which you will be able to dance!
For the gentlemen: suits are not compulsory, ties are not compulsory, although either will be welcome; a long-sleeved shirt and smart trousers will work. Shoes, not trainers, please.
For the ladies: a dress, skirt or swirly trousers that will give you room to move. Hats/fascinators would be lovely, but most importantly, shoes you can dance in!
Location, and where to park
The Assembly Rooms are located on Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RQ. There is some parking available there for those staying in the venue, accessed from Chantry Road. There is also a small surface car park in Theatre Street a few yards from the venue, and underground car parks at The Forum and St Giles. Car park details.

There is a Premier Inn immediately opposite the railway station (15-20 minute walk to the venue, there is a taxi rank at the railway station)

Espresso cup of soup
- Roasted tomato and red pepper with pesto
Finger Sandwiches
- Roasted ham and seed mustard
- Free-range egg mayonnaise and mustard cress
- Poached salmon, lemon, chive, and cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese with Bramley apple chutney
Savoury Treats
- Warm Assembly House pork sausage or squashage roll
- Parmesan, smoked paprika, and pistachio shortbread
- Coronation chicken bridge roll with mango and coconut
- Beetroot tart, whipped garlic cream cheese, onion marmalade, crispy onions, and chive
Scones
- Cheese, Colman’s mustard, and chive scone
- Classic fruit scone, strawberry jam, and clotted cream
Desserts
- Raspberry ripple gateau
- Seasonal glazed fruit tart with vanilla pastry cream
- Black Forest cherry cupcake
- Millionaire’s shortbread shot glass
- Lemon curd macaron
The Assembly House can make vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free versions of the tea, as well as combinations of most of the dietary restrictions.

NB Boxes will be available for you to take some of the feast home!

We have had our own households, separately and together, for several years, and really cannot think of any wedding gifts to put on a list. So there is no list.
